Avriell’s Aspirations:
“My ultimate goal is to open up my own dance studio with my friend. But first, I want to attend college, get a business degree, and become a professional dancer/ choreographer for a known singer. After I feel like I’ve accomplished what I want as an artist, I’ll open up my own dance studio.”
I was drawn to Avriell’s stage presence the first moment I saw her perform. Her full-bodied movements, sincerity, and passion make her a dance artist well beyond her years.
She takes up the performance space with an openness that you see in more mature dancers; as if she is the only one that can tell the story in that very moment. In addition to her skills as a performer, Avriell is a gifted choreographer.
She organizes dancers in space to create landscapes pleasing to the eye. She creates innovative and original movement vocabulary in both the contemporary and hip-hop genres, and is a natural leader.
